Goodevening!!!
I was browsing yahoo Philippines and this article about the germiest places was featured. My jaw dropped when I saw that one of the germiest places we never thought would be is:
"Make up shops: Most of the make-up stores now have a sample that you can try on. It makes shopping for that perfect lipstick easy, but have you wondered how many women would have used it before you? A study conducted at a make-up store indicated the presence of E. Coli and other bacteria which could cause cold and cough."

I am just lucky for I am not a fan of trying on lipsticks in any shops. I rub it on the back of my hands or try to put it near my face to see if it suits me. I know for beauty junkies like us who read and are aware of such problems are very safe...but how about other people who aren't?
PLease spread the word. :)
How about you?
Have a great week ahead!!
Stay happy and Pretty!

Thank heavens i never dare try the makeup on my own face when i go cosmetic-shopping! Better be safe than sorry diba :)
ReplyDeleteTHanks for the info sis, I really try to bring disinfectants or wipes to use before I try anything on. If I don't have anything I just swatch on the back of my hand
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeletethis is so scary!
i do not try lipsticks din. i only do swatches.
I know!!! kaya nga we have to b e more careful now.
ReplyDeleteyeah tapos may mga sales agent na gustong maglagay ng lipsticks sa labi mo...katakot!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! When I was still in medschool, we would use makeup samples as sources of bacteria for culturing. And I must say they grow fast. That is the reason why I never use sample lippies, or any other sample makeups at that. Mascara din pala have lots of it, which can damage your eyes!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
